July 2010

SKATEBOARDING, ZURICH, BODY PARTS AND SOMETHING TROPICAL TASTING ...
Although we have not officially rounded-up July, I can't wait..it's like Xmas, full of goodies
to share with everyone.
So, Xmas 09', I actually dropped in on a mini-ramp....after bmx; for over 10 years, this was
like starting at square1....anyway, now I call myself a "skater"...

Finally, I can 5050.....I am officially "down with the kids".

I also went to Zurich for a week of sun and expensive food...yep, Zurich eats its way thru' your pocket.
Swimming and burnin' at the lake was one of the weeks top activities. ..I will post more images son of July soon!

June 2010

REX TURNS 25!
Yes, it's true...I've become a quater of a century young! Sharing the day with legend Bjorn Borg
and another sports star, Tommie Smith. Well that's enough of the facts...let the celbratories begin
with a long weekend in Munich! Thye gang of 12 saw some city surf, the English gardens, hired some bikes,
and for Friday' kick-off, on the bill were Carte Blanch (DJ Mehdi, RIton of EdBanger Recs).

May 2010

A good month for all...the heat could be felt in the air, the sun-glasses were on and bikes
being rode everywhere. All in all, summer has begun...gig on the 28th, supporting
one of Germanys biggest influences on local scenes and Indie labels, I will be playing before
Eve Massacre from Orchid Clubbing/Records. Until June, see you soon!

April 2010

April will celebrate 2 years of being an expat! Since 2008, April 1st was my official day across
the seas and into the realms of the PUMA world. It's been an exciting time, full of many ups
and a few downs, and I can say proudly I am very very happy and so pleased I made the move.

As well as work within PUMA, I have very recently pitched designs for an upcoming new business based
out of Bristol. Succesfully bagging the client, from May onward I will focus my spare time to this too.

Musically - I've finished a remix for RadioKillaz, entitled Rude Bwoi Ting (Rex' Floating In The Trees Remix).
RadioKillaz are a London based duo currently taking over the bass/rave scene from London to Italy
and further.

Please, have a listen by clicking on my name below...this will sort you out for the Summer Anthem!

...oh, and we did another FUNKIERO night in N'berg.

March 2010

Having been busy in the Visual and Audio Studios, the upcoming month sees the following .
Some DJ bookings in Germany, maybe Switzerland, Austria too.
I am mostly looking forward to the upcoming World Cup 2010 South Africa! Puma Strips look great!

February 2010

Working alot...alot...alot
I'll keep this short, I am busy, creating many pretty graphics and making a lot of music.
2010 will be a year of producing many tunes that are already in the process.
Keep your ears to the ground!

January 2010

...What Time Is It!?
Happy New Year To All! Just a quick update. i am now back in Nuremberg after a lengthy break both spent
in the UK and more recently Switzerland. Had a wicked time, met a load more people in Zurich, saw lots of
snow, got a little ill, traveled around a lot and ate too much. Happy New Year To All!

December 2009

I spent Xmas back the UK for a short ten-day visit, refilling my yearly need of roast potatoes and cheddar
cheese!...Thou' for NY I spent it in Zurich, once again repressing any desire for Schnitzel, and replacing
German cuisine for expensive beer and fireworks. We also had great snow this year and have been boarding
twice already within Switzerland and germany. Come on 2010!

...Have you ever seen such beauty in a timetable?

November 2009

And so winter drawn nearer each day here in Germany. The snow has begun to fall and you can
smell the Glu-Wein in the air. Arriving back from Zurich on Tuesday I was later greeted by a faulty MAC,
and more than just a "problem"...I realized the battery had literally blown-up! See my testimonial below!
Thanks to consumer power, Apple are thankfully sending me a new one within 10 days. Happy November!

Plus, my latest luggage collection.

October 2009

Zurich was my most recent trip in Europe, and where I believe I found the most
inspiring lighters around.
The Swiss really love their country!

Switzerland is really a beautiful country, and Zurich itself hosts a wealth of Artists, graphic design
practices and Architects.
There are many great book-shops too, and yes, expect to se Helvetica a lot
For the next few weeks though, I will be heavily keeping my ears and eyes to the
snow forecasts, preparing for the snow board season ahead.

And this...my favourite typo-build!

Finally, I have created an account with You Tube where I shall feature all my tracks,
and news on this remix shows we have had over 1250 views already!

Last summer, Daniel Taylor and myself made a little remix of
Gunny Gunny (Dee Tee & Dynamo Refix) by Timberlee, originally remixed by my Munich
friends Schlacht Of Bronx. Find your southern bassline there!

September 2009

April 2009

So, I have been in Germany now for one year exactly,
and despite the lack of Walkers Crisps, it's been all good!
Full of fantastic scenery and a lot of beer-gardens, this counrty
boardering to most of Europe, has so much to offer.
Let's see what-else happens...perhaps another country?

Following on, to celebrate this momentos occasion,
here's a picture of my 1983, Hercules 18 speed,white,
drop-handle racer. Not bad for 30 Euros!

The Happy Happy Poster Club - Christmas Exhibition

December promised to be a happy month, with Christmas coming along, mulled wine to be drunk
and copius amounts of chocolate to be eaten, it was felt that The Happy Happy Poster Club was
in need of a fresh reminder of what exhibitions are made of!

Happy 1

Happy 2

Happy 3

Big thanks goes to allwho attended the exhibition in Nottingham at the infamous Lee Rosy's Tea Rooms
and all the people who kindly took photographs of the evening!

Happy

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the opening evening of the exhibition, but their were many
of the original crew who did, showing the great support to currator of the whole exhibition Hayley Ordidge.

Callum Baine has a website!!! At last, the frenzy of man made motion graphics can be
unleashed unto the world. Callum has recently had press in the Creative review Blog
too, so take a look! Keep an eye out! http://www.callumbain.com/

Callum Bain

My claim to fame on this one is that I was asked by Cal to provide the music for the video shoot of press covered Radio Nation project Radio Gabba.
Having set up the decks in the extremely cold garage in Nottingham, we begun to have a little rave.
